The Alzheimer's Diaries

Here's to the beginning of some greater sort of accountability. As some of you may know, my husband and I live with my grandparents, and my Grandpa has Alzheimer's. It's been an interesting journey so far, but we certainly have a unique opportunity to help out, and I get to cherish all of the silly and wonderful moments that I have with my grandparents. Through them, we've been able to learn about marriage, dealing with hardships, and how to love the one you're with, no matter the circumstance.

Anyway, because Grandpa says some funny things, and also just has a crazy awesome joy for life now, one of my goals for 2018 was to write more about stories that have happened recently, mostly to do with him. So, if you're willing to follow along, I'll be sharing more cute posts about how my grandpa is doing, what he's up to, and some fun things he's said.
