A Michael Bublé Christmas: Part 3

December 2016 was a busy one. I finished college, and both Erick and I were in our friends’ wedding just two days after my finals were completed. With all that said, Megan and I dropped the ball on getting another video out.

This year, life is a little different. Although we don’t see each other as often as we’d like, we set a date for filming and left the song choice up to Megan’s Twitter followers.

As you can see, it was a pretty close race, and it was neck and neck for about 22 hours, but in the end, Holly Jolly Christmas won. It worked out great because Winter Wonderland would have been impossible given the weather that Iowa has been experiencing so far this December, namely, cold temps and no snow.

With the votes in, Megan and I began to brainstorm ideas for different scenes. Eventually a shot list was made, and on a Saturday in December, we began filming. It ended up being a pretty fun day, and our “extra footage” was the part that took the longest because we actually made all the cookies and took our time on the gingerbread house.

*A quick note about the cuties in the second mistletoe scene: I really enjoyed setting up the “scene” with my grandparents. My grandpa has Alzheimer’s, so it was interesting to help refresh him on what mistletoe was, and how he was going to use it. Once he understood, he was all smiles!

After a full day of filming with a tripod and a little help from the grandparents and the stubborn hubby, it took just one hour of editing until our most recent video was complete.

Be sure to check out the newest addition to our Christmas video collection here, and wait patiently for another in 2018!

Last year I had some pretty hefty goals, and I feel like I accomplished a decent amount of them. A lot of them were focused on getting into a routine, and since my schedule has less variety in it this
